Shrimp

Archeological evidence show that human being had been using shrimp from prehistorical ages. Although thousands species of shrimp have been identified so far, but only 20 species of them are being used for food consumption.

Shrimp is usually sold as a frozen product and has a high food value. Shrimp is rich in protein, iodine and calcium.
Iran is also one of the producers of shrimp which exports part of it production to foreign countries in addition to meeting the domestic need.
In general, there are two types of shrimp: wild and farmed shrimp. 100% of our farmed shrimp is a species called “Vannamei.”
